Returns, Refunds, and Warranty Policy

At Bunny Rancher, we take pride in providing high-quality rabbitry and cavy equipment. Every item is hand-inspected at our shop in Maine before shipment to ensure it meets our rigorous standards for safety and performance.

1. Return Authorization Process

All returns require prior authorization. To initiate a return, please email us with your Name, Order Number, Item(s) you wish to return, and the Reason for Return.

  • Important: Products returned without prior authorization will be returned to the sender at their expense.

  • Show Pickup Policy: Items purchased for show pickup may be inspected and returned on-site at the time of pickup for a full refund without restocking fees. Once the item leaves the show grounds with the customer, standard return policies apply.

2. General Return Guidelines

Authorized returns must be initiated within 30 days of purchase and received at our facility within two weeks of your authorization date.

  • Biosecurity & Sanitation: For the safety of our customers and livestock, we cannot accept returns on any used items. Items must be in as-purchased, unused condition with all original packaging.

  • Shipping Damage: If an item arrives cracked, broken, or damaged, you must provide clear photos of both the damaged packaging and the product within 48 hours of delivery to qualify for a replacement or refund.

  • Plastic Trays & Bulky Items: Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs. Trays must be returned in their original flat-packing to prevent warping or damage during transit.

  • Restocking Fees:

    • Unused & Original Condition: Returns including all original packaging and documentation are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

    • Damaged Packaging/Minor Wear: If the item is fully functional but shows minor scuffs or damaged packaging, a 50% restocking fee will be applied.

3.  Bolt Gun / Stunning Device Specifics

  • Defects: If a unit is established to be defective in materials or workmanship, we will issue a full refund or replacement.

  • Maintenance: To maintain warranty eligibility, devices must be kept clean, lubricated, and stored in a dry place.

  • Spring Wear: The wear limit for internal springs is 15 mm when open (distance between washer and headpiece). Springs are considered consumable "wear parts."

4. Warranty Information

Bunny Rancher warrants all products against manufacturing defects.

  • Hardware Guarantee: F. Dick and Bunny Rancher branded hardware is sold with a 12-month guarantee starting from the day of delivery.

  • Exclusions: Consumables and wearing parts (including springs, bolts, and damping elements) are explicitly excluded from the guarantee.

  • Voided Warranty: The guarantee is voided by improper handling, usual wear and tear, overloading, or any modifications made without written approval.
