Have a hard working and active man (or woman) in your life? Then they're sure to appreciate this soap! Inspired by the expansive pine forests of the north, we've worked hard to bring a bit of the Maine woods into your home--literally! The rugged scent of white pine and cinnamon leaf make for a spicy and woodsy aroma, but the real secret is that it doesn't just SMELL woodsy--it IS woodsy! Hand-made charcoal from real Maine pine trees acts as a natural detoxifier, while whispy shavings of hand-harvested wild fatwood act as a gentle exfoliant and skin treatment.
What is fatwood you ask? It's a highly resinous wood harvested from the roots of downed conifer trees (in this case white pine). Often used to help start fires or as a crude material for the manufacture of pine tar, it smells nearly identical to Pine-Sol cleaner which we all know and love. What you may not know is that pine resin is a traditional treatment for conditions like psoriasis, and helps restore a healthy glow to dry or damaged skin.
The hemp oil base acts to cut through grease and tighten and firm your pores, and imparts a slight green tint to the soap that is noticeable when held to the light.
No added colorants- naturally colored by charcoal and hemp seed oil.
