Great for those who raise cuy for meat or cavies for show! Note the "stirring" action of the bolt following dispatch. This ensures the brain is properly pithed. The Ballista can also be used. Note: The cervical dislocation (CD) method for cavies -as used in rabbits-is NOT recommended due to the thick musculature. Please use a penetrating bolt gun, ammo powered gun, or veterinary euthanasia if you need to dispatch a guinea pig. |
